一般之制者，弗涉外接圓也。可加一邊垂高，分二直角三角。以正弦函數之義證之。
設加垂高於 <math>c</math> ，其長為 <math>h</math> ，則：

<math>\sin A=\frac{h}{a}</math>

<math>h=\frac{a}{\sin A}</math>

<math>\sin B=\frac{h}{b}</math>

<math>h=\frac{b}{\sin B}</math>

<math>\therefore \frac{a}{\sin A}=\frac{b}{\sin B}</math>

同理，舉一隅，可反三隅也。

涉外接圓之制者：設外接圓之心為 <math>O</math> 。設 <math>O\perp BC</math> 於 <math>P</math> 。以[[歐幾里得]]幾何兼正弦函數之義證之。
